Getting Out of Gaza
Film by · Vanessa Schlesier
About the film
After fleeing Gaza City, Nidal Bulbul's family is living in a makeshift tent in Rafah. From Berlin, the Palestinian-German searches for a way to help. Carrying savings, donations and borrowed money, he travels to Cairo to arrange his relatives' evacuation. The film follows his efforts over several months. Unlike the earlier documentary about Nidal's return to Gaza, this report follows his family's escape during the war in 2024.
